You can copy content from one content area to another, either in the same room of a different room.
You can copy text from any HTML source and paste it into a content area. However, make sure you thoroughly test the content to ensure that it works correctly. Content that works in other contexts may not work the same as content in a room.
When you edit the content of a room, you should only open the HTML editor in one content area at a time. When you save your work in one content area, the other content areas are reverted to the last saved version, so any changes you made in those areas will be lost.
Changes you make to the room tree structure or to room content will not be available to patrons until you run the SD_CONTENT_EXTRACTOR task. (For more information, see Managing scheduled tasks.)
To copy content to a content area
| 1 | Log in to the Admin Console. |
| 2 | Choose Rooms from the navigation pane. |
| 3 | Select the profile in which you want to work. |
| 4 | Navigate to the room from which you want to copy content. |
| 5 | Click Edit Room Content in the room’s options. |
| 6 | Select the content you want to copy. |
You can copy all of the content in the content area or a portion of the content.
| 7 | Navigate to the room to which you want to copy the content. |
| 8 | Choose Edit in the content area where you want to paste the content. |
| 9 | Press Ctrl+V to paste the content to the content area. |
| 10 | When you have finished pasting and editing the content, choose Save to preserve the changes and exit the HTML editor. |
